Every morning, I look out my back window and marvel at how a fat squirrel jumps from skinny branch to skinny branch on my Japanese maple tree.

I am amazed not by his jumping ability but by his strong faith that the frail branches will hold his weight.

His faith is stronger than the branches, as he is yet to fall even one time.

As he makes his way back down to the ground for the day, I thank him for his daily lesson and vow to watch him again tomorrow.

I also vow to be more nimble with myself when I am navigating the skinny branches of life.
